NeurNEUR
Sources and method

Where every number comes from.

A Neur report has no number you cannot trace. Each figure is read from a public dataset or computed from one by a fixed model, and the dataset, its year, and its geography are printed next to it. This page is the full list.

What AI does in a report, and what it never does

It phrases

Three places in a report are written by a language model from the figures the report already computed: the reasons under the score, the launch steps for your industry and state, and the two-sentence case a lender can read. Each is labeled where it appears. Before any of that text is shown, a check rejects any sentence containing a number that is not in the report's own data.

It checks

Before a report is saved, a second model reads every figure and claim and lists contradictions between sections. Reports it flags are reviewed. Nothing it writes is shown to you.

It never

  • Produces or changes a score, a cost, a revenue figure, or a break-even.
  • Searches the web for market facts or cites a source you cannot open.
  • Does arithmetic. Every calculation runs in code and prints its inputs.
  • Writes a verdict. The score is computed from the pillars shown with it.
  • Classifies your business without saying so. When your idea is outside our catalog, the report says the economics are AI-assisted and shows the proxy it used.

How this compares

Most AI feasibility tools work the other way around: a model searches the web, writes a market size and a set of projections, and names research firms it cannot link to. The numbers can read well and still contradict each other from one page to the next, which is the first thing a loan officer notices. A Neur report is slower to build and narrower in scope because it only states what a dataset supports.

If you find a figure you cannot trace, write to hello@neur.co with the report id and we will show you the row it came from or correct it.

Every report prints its sources

The last page of each PDF lists the datasets behind that report, with the dates the data was captured. $59.99 for a Neur Report; the Lender Report adds the full methodology appendix.
